Preliminary Development of Coping Style Scale for Middle School Students

【Abstract】 Objective: To develop a coping style scale f or middle school students. Methods: According to regional distribution of the Zhejiang province, 1870 middle school students were sampled from 6 cities. The Coping Style Scale was developed for evaluation of its relia bility and validity. Results: The Cronbach's α was 0.92;t he test-retest reliability was 0.89; the results of factor analysis showed satis factory construction validity. Conclusion: The Coping Styl e Scale for Middle School Students attained satisfactory reliability and validit y when applied to middle school students.

近20年来,应对或称应付(coping)问题日益成为应激研究中的一个核心课题。作为一种中介因素,应对方式影响着应激反应的性质与强度,并进而调节着应激同身心健康的 关系。关于应对的定义,不同的研究者、不同的研究时代有不同的理解。一般来说,应对可理 解为:个体在应激环境或生活事件中,对该环境或事件作出认知评价以及认知评价之后为平衡 自身心理状态所采取的措施[1,2]。鉴于应对在应激研究中的重要性,在面对应激时 人们的应对方式就成了应激研究的重点之一。应对方式的测量方法主要有3种:心理生理和表情测量、行 为测量和自我报告测量[2]。迄今为止,自陈量表仍是研究应对方式最便利的研究技术。
