Validation of Index of Well-being in a Sample of Chinese College Students

【Abstract】 Objective:To evaluate psychometric properti es of the Index of Well-being in a sample of Chinese college students. Methods: A total of 629 subjects were administered the Index of Well-being, State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, and Symptom Checklist-90. Results: Sign ificant gender difference was found on the index of well-being. There was also significant correlation between index of well-being and negative emotionality. Index of Well-being was negatively correlated with factor scores of emotionality including state anxiety, trait anxiety, and SCl-90-depression. Concl usion:The "Index of Well-being”is psychometrically sound for applic ation to Chinese college students.

1 对象与方法
1.1 测量工具
幸福感指数量表中文翻译版[8];状态-特质焦虑问卷[9]中文翻译版;症 状自评量表中文版[10]。
1.2 受试对象
北京市三所大学在校学生629人。其中,1年级159人;2年级150人;3年级156人;4年级164 人。各年级中,男、女,文、理科学生人数大致匹配。男生319人;女生310人。文科328人 ;理科301人。
1.3 统计分析
SPSS for Windows 8.0,独立组平均数差异检验,双变量相关显著性检验。
