Abstract With the use of computer image processing technology and microcirculational network analysis technology, we have developed a new system to analyze the outlook of retinal vessles quantitatively. A multimedia structure has been designed for patient's case history file, which includes the basic information of patients, the operating information during sampling and processing patient's retinal image and the result. The system includes image sampling, image displaying, image processing, parameters measuring and analyzing, reports printing and atlas managment. Clinical application indicates that the system is useful to hypertension diagnosis.
