An Analysis of the Raising in the Breast-Feeding
of the First 4 Months after Birth

Abstract:For knowing the situation of the breast-feeding of the first 4 months after birth and the influencing factors on breast-feeding rate of the first 4 months after birth, the authors carried out investigation 398 maternal cases who deliveried in our hospital from November 1,1994 to December 31,1994 and 504 cases from October 1 , 1997 to December 31, 1997. The result showed that the breast-feeding rate of the first month after birth has been raised from 31. 4% in 1993 to 80.15% in 1994, the breast-feeding rate of the first 4 months after birth has been raised from 24% in 1992 to 57.79% in 1994, 65.34% in 1997. The pure breast-feeding rate of the first 4 months after birth has been raised from 36.43% in 1994 to 56.04% in 1997. We found that many influencing factors on the breast-feeding rate of the first 4 months after birth ,such as obstetrical way, breast maldevelopment, family ecnomic situation,cognition for breast-feeding during pregnancy etc. Epidemiological analysis of the influencing factors on the breast-feeding of the 4 months after birth was made in this paper.
